The Humpback whale is one of the most fascinating creations on this earth in my opinion. This acrylic expression is a celebration of the journey of a Humpback whale and it’s pacific migration. These gentle giants make the long journey from their summer feeding grounds in the poles, to the warmer winter climate of the pacific to create new life in their breeding grounds. The newborn calf swims close to it’s mother for safety and affection, and the majestic echo songs of communication can be heard for miles around. When the journey finally comes to an end the knowledge necessary for survival has already been passed on to the young, and it gives back it’s nutrients to the sea bed……….
The circle of life continues on.
